Many thanks for resolving the water supply problem at my property earlier today (18th June 2014). Mick Harkin promptly responded to my phone call last week. He came to my property at the arranged date and time and discussed the options available. I received the estimate within a few days, it represented good value for the work involved. The engineers Chris Hewitt and Jimmy O'Brien also turned up at the arranged date and time. They were both polite and kept me informed at every stage of the job. Upon completion, the site was left clean and tidy. Well done to all those involved.

After works carried out by Affinity Water, 2 of your colleagues came to my property today to reset the block paving that had been removed in order for repairs to be made. I would just like to say how pleased I am with the work they have completed. The job was carried out quickly with no disruption to myself, family or neighbours and the standard of the job is superb. You wouldn’t be able to tell that any work had been carried out. People are very quick to leave negative feedback so I wanted to email and say ‘job well done’. It is very much appreciated.

I would like to thank M&S for the great service which I received which was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Company to anyone. The staff were very helpful and responsive to issues. Even calling with issues after installation the staff were very responsive.

I would like to thank the staff on the front line especially Lisa Sheridan, Hannah McDonald and Hannah 2 (apologies but did not get the surname) for all their help and patients. Even after installation with minor issues they were very helpful and got things sorted. This was so comforting for a person who gets stressed with issues.

It was also lovely to hear that if in the future if there are any problems/issues as a result of the installation just give us a call and we will try and get things sorted. This was very comforting - Thank you so much ladies you are a real asset to the Company.

Very impressed with M and S – they were fantastic, safe and Will has been excellent organising his end.

I found I had a leaking water main on a Monday night, late, while putting out recycling.

Phoned emergency number at 2am, got a call back at 6am (emergency phone mobile phone left downstairs, an apologetic voice said), and still had a team of two on site by 7:15am. They dug and found the leak, but needed an inside team to replace the pipe from inside a corner cupboard in the kitchen to their hole outside.

Inside team came at 4:30pm and had all fixed, clean and tidy by 6pm. Both teams, and head office, very courteous. Local teams very careful of social distancing, and the man who came inside wore mask and gloves, and touched as little as possible. Altogether, and fast and very satisfactory response.

I met your engineer Dave on site today and have to say I felt I'd known him all my life, if not a family member. There can be no doubt Dave is a genuine, sincere and decent man.
Dave took a great deal of time to explore the very best solution and explained in terms which were easy to understand the regulatory perspective and offered the very best outcome. He possesses qualities which are sadly very rare today and I can say with conviction he is the very best ambassador possible for your organisation, please pass on my thanks to him.

On Saturday (17/05/2014) two of your engineers attended our property for a leak in the mains pipe. Although it was 10.45 am when they arrived they took on the job of repairing the leak, even after being informed that the last time we had a leak in January it took 4 men, from another contractor, 8 hours to fix it.

I have spent six weeks chasing my insurance company and had visits from 6 different engineers from them. They were still unable or unwilling to actually mend the leak.

Last Friday, on the recommendation of Affinity Water, I rang your office. By that evening I had an appointment for 09.00 on Sunday. Kevin was on site by 08.30 (a charming and helpful man). He found the leak position within all of 2 minutes and by 11.30 had dug the trench, including breaking through concrete, isolated the old pipe, drilled through the house wall and installed a new pipe and stopcock through the back of a kitchen unit (with absolute minimum damage to the unit).

He then tested the rest of the pipe from the road and back filled the trench and telephoned me to say that he had finished shortly after 12.00.

What a service!.....and all for a reasonable price too. Please accept my thanks for one of the most efficient, customer friendly services that I have had for a very long time. Please repeat my thanks to Kevin, and, if you have such things, put a copy of this on his personal file.

We were really upset and anxious about our horrendous water bills. The Housing Association who own our bungalow contacted yourselves to investigate a possible water leak. This was unfortunately on a Friday! However over the following Monday and Tuesday your various engineers visited our home, identified the leak, and carried out the necessary work and repair. They were all really pleasant, hard-working, and thorough. They were considerate to us, explaining everything, and left our home very tidy. You quickly supplied a comprehensive report to the Housing Association , which we hope will help us to claim leakage allowance from Anglian Water.
