RPZ Valve

Valves providing backflow protection of your potable water supply

M & S Water Service Utilities Limited (M & S Water Services) have engineers who are qualified to test, install, commission and repair RPZ valves.

An RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve (Type BA back flow preventer) is used in most commercial and industrial premises requiring protection on up to fluid category 4, to stop contamination in your drinking water distribution system.

Typical examples of where RPZ Valves should be fitted:-

  1. Swimming Pools
  2. Launderettes
  3. Food Processing Plants
  4. Dishwashing facilities in Restaurants, Hotels and Bars
  5. Car washing facilities

The RPZ valve should not be used in conjunction with fluid Category 5 (i.e where there is a risk of contamination from Sewage, Slurry & Toxic waste).

RPZ valves once commissioned require testing on an annual basis by an Accredited Tester.

M & S Water Services provides installation, commissioning and testing services across the whole of the UK. We can survey and recommend solutions and quotations for any rectification work needed to comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
